STORY
You’re Tsuruma, from Teruko Ohashi’s Radio WA American. While you, Teruko and director Nakamura were preparing for the next broacast, a swarm of listeners storm in and snatch Teruko away. “The show can’t go on without her!”, you think to yourself, as you don the legendary magical armour passed down throughout the Tsuruma family’s generations and make your way towards the tower where the listeners dwell.
How to Play
Move Tsuruma with the cursor keys. Your objective is to simply collect the key, then head towards the door. However, if you’re hit by a fire or a cassette, or run out of time, you lose a Tsuruma, and if you lose 3, it’s game over.
By picking up the golden dictionary with “金” written on it, your armour will turn yellow; this is your chance to defeat the fires and the cassettes.
Defeating enemies gives you Mystery Points and extra time. Keep in mind, though, that you can’t get the key or enter the door while your armour is yellow, so be careful.
Your armour is normally blue, and turns yellow if you pick up the dictionary and green if you get the key; you can only enter the door if your armour is green.
Modifications
For those who want to play with a joystick, change the “(0)” in line 310’s “STICK(0)” to “(1)”. Furthermore, by increasing the 1 in line 990’s “F=F+1”, you can make the game harder.
[ CHECKER FLAG ]
Editor: Doctor! This program is another long one because the maze data is all a’s and spaces!
Dr. D: Why use such long data for this? You should’ve used bits and logical expressions for this, no? It looks like there aren’t a lot of people that seem to be able to understand how to do it right around here, so I think we should do a special edition on the subject. Am I right!?
Everyone: Yes, doctor!
