Antimatter Lifeform Kage
YAMI
Introduction
Tonpei-kun’s village decided to neutralise the Kage, an antimatterlifeform brought from planet Vulkan. This is because, it being made of antimatter, any contact made with Tonpei-kun or their fellow villagers would result in their mutual annihilation.
A meeting was held, and the one chose to carry out the extermination… was none other that Tonpei-kun themselves. As soon as this was decided, the village elder instructed them on their mission: “So, you are to enter this montior and fight Kage. This BEAM’ll be your weapon, and this is a receiver. Always follow the receiver’s instructions, and don’t make contact with Kage under any circumstance.”
After saying these words, the elder cast a spell and sent Tonpei-kun inside the monitor, and turned on their MSX transmitter. However, the transmitter would only work if the energy stored in its capacitors reached level 5, and Tonpei-kun would wander aimlessly whenever they didn’t receive any commands, making matters even more dangerous.
“Yes! I shot’em! – Kage said as he landed a clear shot on Kage with his beam – “I… W-what?”
To their surprise, when Kage got shot, the BEAM’s shot simply reacted with its antimatter to spilt it into two new Kages!
Tonpei-kun panicked, and started firing the BEAM frantically. Before he could even realise, he was suddenly going up against 30 Kages. “Oh, this is bad!” – said Tonpei-kun as he fired yet another shot…
How to Play
You are in control of the village elder. Use the cursor keys to command Tonpei-kun to change direction, and Space to command them to fire the BEAM. Keep in mind that you can’t transmit any commands unless the green energy gauge in the top right is at 5 strips. Sending a movement command will cause Tonpei-kun to move in that direction for 16 steps, or until you instruct them to move in another direction.
In order to beat the game, you just need to get more than 30 Kages to appear.
